Hello everyone,

Welcome to our Fall Update! Please read the following for major news for Aquatic Passion Forums.


Photo of the Year Contest

Here is our very big announcement: the winner of the Photo of the Year Contest in December will receive a $30 giftcard to PetSmart America or Canada! If a person living outside of America or Canada wins, they will receive a $30 giftcard to eBay. This is our first contest to have a cash prize and we hope it will bring some excitement.

How can I become part of the Photo of the Year Contest?

The last way to become part of the contest is to enter a submission in our upcoming November Photo of the Month Contest. The winner will automatically be entered into the Photo of the Year Contest! In addition, throughout all the POTM's of this year a group of wildcards will be selected. The staff will vote on these and pick three finalist wildcards that will be entered into the Photo of the Year Contest to go along with the seven photos who have won the past contests! That means it will be a battle between 10 photos to win.


Updated Fish Profiles

Our Fish Profile section has now been updated. The new format includes the Freshwater Fish Profile Directory which will make finding the profiles you are looking for easier. Each group of fish has their own section with links to the individual species below. As you can see, there are still quite a few "Under Construction" notices visible. These will go away as more information and sections are completed.

Other updates include a thread for adding images for fish profiles to and a smoother connection between all information with more links.

If you see any grammar errors, broken links, or are having trouble with the new system, please post it in the Comments Forum.


October Photo of the Month Contest

This month's Photo of the Month contest is our most successful to date. We almost doubled our previous record for entries! There is still one week left for voting and there is a close race between #1 and #2 going on, with only two votes seperating them. Remember, the winner of this will be entered in the Photo of the Year Contest and could win the $30 giftcard so it is important to vote!
