Boesemans Rainbow Lock jaw

15 new Rainbows and possable problem with 1.
Boesemans Rainbow has mouth open all the time .Look fairly healthy. Is this a possable disease or deformaty .
Picture below not that great .I can actualy see down his throat.

It may be a deformity it was born with, or a possible injury. I don't think it is a disease. Does it eat well? If it eats well and acts normal, I don't think it is anything to be worried about.

Probably just a deformity. Some cichlid species (i.e. red parrots) cannot close their mouth. As long as he eats well it is fine.

ALSO: 15 gal. Breeding Tank in use. 22 gal. tank in storage.
