I was really lucky with the albino Malawi cichlids in that my local shop took a delivery by mistake and I took thorough advantage to add to my cichlid tank. They don't normally stock too many. I've just found out that they may stop stocking freshwater fish in favour of marine. If they do, I think I'll start my own shop :-)

The pl*c's name is Merlin and I was lucky enough to meet the lady who bred him. He's used to Malawis, so wasn't at all bothered when they got a little too close.

Oh well maybe you would be successful in running your own pet shop, who knows?

Merlin is a nice name for a Pleco. :)

I bought him as a common pleco, but he has a huge fin, so some have speculated. He's already asserted his authority in the tank, using his tail to deter all interfering cichlids when he is eating. My upside down catfish - who I have not seen for weeks - has also taken an interest,

Common plecos will grow very large; you'll have to upgrade your tank size in the future.
